A fire fighting training facility where functionality, safety and robustness are higher priorities then any ordinary project. Extensive consultation with a range of experienced Fire Training Officers was required to understand the drills, techniques, risks and lessons already learnt. Water management from the burn ground formed a crucial part of the brief, as did the control and safety of those undertaking the training drills in smokey, hot environments.
